Description
GIGABYTE Radeon RX 6500 XT GAMING OC 4G, The Radeon RX 6500 XT is the GPU to get if you’re building your first PC and don’t want to spend a lot of money. It’s just good for 1080p gaming, but it’s the type of card that can help you develop the rest of your system.
Even if you have a more expensive monitor, the 6500 XT features one HDMI 2.1 port and one DVI 1.4a port, so you may connect it directly. Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and Fixed Rate Link are both supported by the HDMI 2.1 (FRL) spec.
Both are necessary for playing games at the highest potential resolution, while having an HDMI 2.1 port does not ensure either. To take full benefit of these features, you’ll also need an Ultra-high-speed HDMI 2.1 cable.
GIGABYTE Radeon RX 6500 XT GAMING
For basic gaming, the RX 6500 XT is a good choice. As long as it set the graphics setting to medium or low, it can run any game flawlessly.
AMD eliminated too many features that would have made this GPU a better competitor with Nvidia’s budget cards, whether current-Gen or last-Gen, in order to have the cheapest budget graphics card available.
AMD may have a frame rate advantage over Nvidia with its high-end GPUs, but it can’t win the budget category because its competitors’ cards have greater VRAM. Unfortunately, this was a risk that did not pay off.
